The threads worth answering usually know what they are asking.

  1. Ask one real question, not five hidden inside each other.
  2. Keep the title plain enough that people know what they are entering.
  3. Give only the context that matters.
  4. Say what you have already noticed or tried.
  5. Stay with the thread once people answer.

If the question is vague, people end up guessing the problem instead of answering it.
