Attachment explains more than its critics admit and less than its fans sometimes hope. It points to something real, but it can become too broad if every conflict, mismatch, or bad pattern gets folded into the same explanation.
Once that happens, the theory stops clarifying and starts covering over the rest of the person. I want the line cleaner than that.
Where does attachment explain something real, and where does the rest of the person start taking over?
