Big Five is cleaner than most type systems because it asks for fewer fantasies. That is its strength. It tracks broad tendencies without pretending to reveal a soul.
It also becomes thin very quickly once you start asking about motive, self-deception, compensation, or the deeper strategy organizing a trait. So yes, it is cleaner. It is also often too flat.
Where does it genuinely clarify a person, and where does it stop short?
