Some truths stay mostly decorative while they still flatter the person holding them. They feel sharp, unusual, or clarifying, but the instruction inside them remains untouched.
Only when the self-display drops out does the idea begin to land differently. That is when it starts changing behavior instead of merely accompanying identity.
