A person can spend years optimizing, tracking, reflecting, and refining routines while still changing less than it appears. The whole project can become highly articulate without becoming deeply structural.
This is one of the traps inside serious self-development. It gives language, control, and the feeling of movement, which can all be useful. But they can also make it harder to notice when the center organizing the life is still largely the same.
