Everyone here is investing time, attention, and thought. Disagreement is expected, but laziness, baiting, and contempt for the space are not. These guidelines exist to keep the forum readable and worth returning to.

1. Respect Each Other

• Attack ideas without sliding into insults, harassment, or mockery.
• No threats, hate speech, or attempts to intimidate people.
• Never post private or identifying information without clear permission.

2. Human Writing Only

• This is a human forum. You can use AI to research or think, but your posts must be written by you.
• We prefer rough phrasing and grammar mistakes over clean artificial text. 
• Copy-pasting is not allowed. Type your responses directly or use dictation.
• We use detection tools to spot AI and copy-pasted text to protect the human effort of this community. These systems recognize and support genuine human writing. If AI generated text is detected, it might result in account suspension.

3. Content Standards

• No pornographic or sexually explicit material.
• No graphic violence, gore, or abusive imagery.
• No illegal or exploitative material, and nothing that puts others at risk.

4. Post Clearly

• Use a clear title and post in the correct room.
• Keep each thread centered on one main topic. Check for an active thread before opening a new one.
• If you make a factual claim, state what it rests on and link sources.
• Quote people fairly and stay connected to what they actually said.
• Write so people can follow you—use paragraphs and punctuation.

5. Keep the Forum Usable

• Do not cross-post the same thread in multiple rooms.
• No spam, scams, or posting just to extract traffic.
• If you ask for help, explain what you expected, what actually happened, and what you already tried.
• If people respond to your thread, stay engaged with it when you can.
• Use the report button if something needs attention instead of escalating it publicly.

6. Moderation

• Moderators may move, edit, lock, or remove posts to keep the forum safe and readable.
• Do not repost removed content or try to route around moderation decisions.
• We value our members and usually issue reminders first, but serious or repeated violations will lead to restricted access.
